Registration Forms
Collect attendee information through customizable registration forms.
Default Fields
Every registration includes these default fields:
- Name - Attendee's full name
- Email - Contact email (ticket delivery)
These fields cannot be removed.
Accessing Form Builder
During Event Creation: Registration fields are configured in Step 4: Registration of the event creation flow.
For Existing Events:
- Go to Dashboard → Events
- Select your event
- Click Manage → Settings
- Expand Registration Questions
Adding Custom Fields
Click Add Custom Question to create new questions.
Field Types

| Multiple Choice | Single selection as radio buttons | Experience level, category |
| Checkbox | Multiple selections allowed | Session interests, add-ons |
Configuring Fields
Question Label
The question text shown to attendees.
Examples:
- "What is your job title?"
- "Select your t-shirt size"
- "Do you have any dietary requirements?"
Required Toggle
- Required - Must be answered to complete registration
- Optional - Can be skipped
Use required sparingly to avoid registration abandonment.
Placeholder Text (Text Fields Only)
For Short Text, Long Text, Email, and Phone fields, you can add placeholder hint text:
- "e.g., Software Engineer"
- "Enter your company name"
Adding Options
For Dropdown, Multiple Choice, and Checkbox fields, you need to define the available options:
- Enter each option label
- Click Add Option for more
- Remove options with the trash icon
Yes/No fields automatically have "Yes" and "No" options - no configuration needed.
Eligibility Checking
Block registration based on answers to specific questions.
Eligibility checks only work with: Yes/No, Dropdown, Multiple Choice, and Checkbox fields.
Setting Up Eligibility Check
- Toggle Use as eligibility check on a field
- Select which answers are eligible (accepted)
- Optionally set a rejection message
Users who don't select an eligible answer will be blocked from registering.
Examples
Age Verification:
- Question: "Are you 18 or older?" (Yes/No)
- Eligible answer: Yes
- Rejection message: "This event requires attendees to be 18+"
Company Affiliation:
- Question: "Are you an employee of [Partner Company]?" (Yes/No)
- Eligible answer: Yes
- Rejection message: "This ticket is reserved for [Partner Company] employees"
Location Restriction:
- Question: "What country are you located in?" (Dropdown)
- Eligible answers: USA, Canada, UK
- Rejection message: "This event is only available to attendees in North America and UK"
Managing Existing Fields
Editing Fields
Click the edit icon on any custom field to modify:
- Question label
- Required status
- Placeholder text
- Eligibility settings
You cannot change the field type after creation. Options for Dropdown/Multiple Choice/Checkbox cannot be modified after creation either.
Deleting Fields
Remove custom fields:
- Click the delete icon on the field
- Field is immediately removed
Deleting a field removes it from future registrations. Existing responses are preserved in attendee records.
Viewing Responses
Access attendee responses:
In Attendees Tab
- Go to Event → Manage → Attendees
- Click on any attendee
- View their form responses
In Analytics
- Go to Event → Manage → Analytics
- View Custom Question Analytics
- See response distributions
Exporting Responses
Export all responses to CSV:
- Go to Attendees tab
- Click Export
- Responses included in export
Best Practices
Keep Forms Short
- Only ask what you need
- More fields = more abandonment
- Required fields should be minimal
Logical Order
- Group related questions
- Personal info first
- Event-specific questions after
Clear Labels
- Be specific about what you're asking
- Avoid jargon
- Include examples in placeholders

Privacy Considerations
- Inform attendees how data is used
- Link to your privacy policy
- Only collect necessary information
- Comply with GDPR/data protection laws
