Refund Policy

Last updated: February 2025

1. Overview

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on tickets purchased through the Delvent platform. Refund eligibility depends on the type of event, the organiser's refund settings, and the timing of the refund request.

2. Refund Eligibility

2.1 Free Events

Tickets for free events can be cancelled at any time before the event starts. No refund is necessary as no payment was made.

2.2 Paid Events

Refunds for paid events are subject to:

  • The refund policy set by the event organiser
  • The time remaining before the event starts
  • Whether the event has been cancelled or significantly modified

2.3 Organiser-Defined Policies

Event organisers may set their own refund policies, which can include:

  • Full refund - Complete refund of the ticket price
  • Partial refund - Percentage-based refund
  • No refunds - Non-refundable tickets
  • Refund deadline - A cutoff date after which refunds are not available

The applicable refund policy is displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

3. How to Request a Refund

3.1 Through Your Account

  1. Log in to your Delvent account
  2. Navigate to "My Tickets"
  3. Select the ticket you wish to refund
  4. Click "Request Refund" (if available)

3.2 Contacting Support

If you cannot request a refund through your account, contact us at support@delvent.io with:

  • Your order confirmation number
  • The email address used for purchase
  • Reason for the refund request

4. Processing Time

  • Standard refunds: 5-10 business days to process
  • Credit/Debit card refunds: Additional 5-10 business days for funds to appear in your account (depending on your bank)
  • Stablecoin refunds: 1-3 business days

5. Platform Fees

5.1 Service Fees

Platform service fees are generally non-refundable, except in cases where:

  • The event is cancelled by the organiser
  • There was a technical error during purchase
  • The event was significantly misrepresented

5.2 Payment Processing Fees

Payment processing fees charged by third-party payment providers may not be refundable, as these fees are incurred at the time of the original transaction.

6. Event Cancellation

6.1 Organiser Cancellation

If an event is cancelled by the organiser:

  • You are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price
  • Refunds will be processed automatically within 10 business days
  • You will be notified via email

6.2 Platform Cancellation

In rare cases where Delvent must cancel an event due to policy violations:

  • Full refunds will be issued to all ticket holders
  • Communication will be sent to affected attendees

7. Event Changes

7.1 Date or Venue Changes

If an event's date, time, or venue changes significantly:

  • Organisers should offer refunds to attendees who cannot attend
  • Contact the organiser directly for refund requests related to event changes

7.2 Lineup or Content Changes

Minor changes to event content (speakers, performers, schedule) typically do not qualify for refunds unless the organiser's policy states otherwise.

8. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally not available for:

  • Change of mind after the refund deadline
  • Inability to attend due to personal circumstances
  • Duplicate purchases (contact support for assistance)
  • Tickets purchased from unofficial resellers

9. Disputes

If you believe you are entitled to a refund that has been denied:

  1. First, contact the event organiser directly
  2. If unresolved, contact Delvent support at support@delvent.io
  3. Provide all relevant documentation and communication

We will review disputes and mediate between parties where appropriate.
