Discovering Events

Find amazing events happening around you and online. Delvent makes it easy to discover events by category, location, or date.

Browsing the Event Directory​

Visit delvent.io/events to access the event discovery page. Here you'll find all upcoming public events on the platform.

Searching Events​

Use the search bar at the top to find events by name:

  1. Type your search query (e.g., "tech conference")
  2. Click Search or press Enter
  3. Results update to show matching events

Event Cards​

Each event is displayed as a card showing:

  • Date & Time - When the event takes place
  • Event Name - The title of the event
  • Location - Venue address (for in-person events)
  • Pricing - Starting price (e.g., "From $25") or "Free"
  • Event Banner - Square image preview

Filtering Events​

Use the filter dropdowns to narrow down your search:

Event filters - country and category

By Country​

Filter events by their physical location country. The dropdown shows countries with events and their counts (e.g., "Nigeria (12)").

By Category​

Filter by event type. Categories include:

  • Technology - Tech conferences, hackathons, meetups
  • Music - Concerts, festivals, live performances
  • Art & Culture - Exhibitions, galleries, creative workshops
  • Business - Networking, conferences, seminars
  • Sports & Fitness - Fitness events, tournaments, matches
  • Food & Drink - Food festivals, tastings, culinary events
  • Education - Workshops, courses, training sessions
  • Networking - Professional meetups, mixers
  • Entertainment - Shows, parties, entertainment events
  • Other - Events that don't fit other categories

Clearing Filters​

Click the Clear button to reset all filters and search, returning to the full event list.

Event Details Page​

Click on any event card to view the full event page. Here you'll find:

Event Header​

  • Event Name - The title of the event
  • Event Banner - Large cover image
  • Invite Only Badge - Shown if the event requires an access code
  • Share Options - Copy link, Share, and QR Code buttons

About This Event​

  • Description - Detailed information about the event
  • Date & Time - Complete schedule with timezone (supports multi-day events)
  • Location - Venue address for in-person events
  • Event Instructions - Any special instructions from the organiser

Organiser Card​

  • Logo - Organiser's profile image
  • Name - Click to view their full profile
  • Social Links - Website, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter (if provided)

Feature Cards​

Depending on the event, you may see feature cards linking to:

Program​

View the full event schedule:

  • Activities organised by time
  • Multiple arenas/tracks (for larger events)
  • Activity details (title, description, speakers)

Lineup​

View speakers, performers, or special guests:

  • Photo and name
  • Company and job title
  • Bio and social links

Open Call​

If the event is accepting proposals, submit your own:

  • View submission guidelines
  • Fill out proposal form
  • Track your submission status

Event Actions​

  • Register Now - Click to purchase tickets
  • Contact Host - Send a message to the organiser
  • Report Event - Report issues with the event
  • Refund Policy - View the refund terms

Event Status​

  • Cancelled - Shows cancellation notice and reason
  • Ended - Shows that registration is no longer available

Host Profiles​

Click on a host's name to view their public profile at delvent.io/profile/[host-slug]. Here you'll see:

Profile Header​

  • Logo - Host's profile image
  • Name - Host/organiser name
  • Bio - About the host
  • Social Links - Website, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter

Events​

  • List of upcoming events by this host
  • Click any event to view its details

Sharing Events​

Found an event you want to share? Use the sharing options on the event page:

Click the link icon to copy the event URL to your clipboard.

Share​

Click the share icon to use your device's native share menu (on mobile) or copy the link.

QR Code​

Click QR Code to generate a scannable QR code for the event. This is useful for:

  • Printed materials
  • Presentations
  • Quick sharing in person

Event URL Format​

https://delvent.io/events/[event-slug]

Event Visibility​

Events on Delvent can be:

  • Public - Visible in the event directory and searchable
  • Private - Only accessible via direct link (not shown in directory)

If you have a direct link to a private event, you can still view and register for it.
