Event Communities
Connect with other attendees through your event's community hub.
Overview
When you purchase a ticket, you gain access to the event's community. Communities include:
- Chat Channels — Topic-based group conversations (e.g., General, Announcements)
- Direct Messages — Private conversations with other attendees
- Photo Memories — Shared event photo gallery
Accessing Your Community
From the App
- Open the Delvent app
- Tap Communities in the bottom tab bar
- Select an event community
From the Web
- Go to your dashboard at delvent.io
- Navigate to the event
- Click Community
Chat Channels
Each community has channels created by the organiser. Common channel types include:

| General | Open discussion for all attendees |
| Announcements | Updates from the organiser (read-only for attendees) |
| Photos | Shared event gallery |
Sending Messages
- Open a channel
- Type your message in the input field
- Tap Send
Replying to Messages
Swipe right on a message or tap it to reply. Your reply appears threaded under the original message.
Reactions
Tap and hold a message to add an emoji reaction. Tap an existing reaction to add yours.
Pinned Messages
Tap the pin icon at the top of a channel to see important messages pinned by the organiser.
Direct Messages
Send private messages to other community members.
Starting a Conversation
- Go to the community hub
- Tap Messages
- Tap the compose button
- Browse the member list and tap the message icon next to a member
- Write an intro message and send your request
DM Requests
When you message someone for the first time, it's sent as a request. The recipient can accept or decline before a conversation starts.
Photo Memories
A shared gallery where attendees upload and browse event photos.
Viewing Photos
- From the community hub, tap Photos
- Browse the gallery
- Tap a photo to view full-screen
Member List
View all community members:
- From the community hub, tap Members
- Search by name or username
- Filter by role (All, Admins, Members)
Leaving a Community
- Open the community hub
- Tap the settings icon
- Select Leave Community
Leaving a community removes your access to channels and messages. You can rejoin if you still have a valid ticket.
